Newberry Water Haul

Contact Butch Rhodes

Butch Rhodes and the crew will be hauling water to the Newberry drinker.  Many trips have already been made this year - due to extreme drought and very heavy bighorn use, SCBS has made 5 trips this year for over 10,000 gallons, and the crew isn't done yet.  Butch's crew has this down to a science.  SCBS and CaDFW have been working together to get BLM to approve a complete replacement of this system to increase the storage volume and the collection efficiency.  In the meantime, we will continue to haul water by trucks.

If you have a 4x4 pickup and can haul water in a portable tank, or are good at laying fire hose in rugged terrain, we can probably use your help.  Use the Contact Us link and send us your contact info and we'll have Butch get in touch with you.
