We are going to be installing our 10 water development system (7th Raincatcher style) within the 29 Palms Marine Corp Base.  You will need a currently registered 4x4 vehicle with insurance to drive on base to the project site or you will have to carpool with another volunteer.  The campsite will be near Amboy, CA and is accessible by most ordinary vehicles.  It is a large level area and suitable for dry camping.  4x4 will be required to get from the campsite to the project site, if you don't have a 4x4 we usually can arrange for a ride from the campsite but make sure to let us know.

Thursday is camp set up day, arrive anytime, we have a few regulars that expect to be there about noon.  Safety breifing and project oreintation will begin Friday at 7 am followed by a caravan to the project site under escort from base personnel.

Food will be provided starting with Thursday evening meal and continuing until Monday morning.  Lunches and drinks will be on your own.  If you can bring some firewood and extra water for our cook that would be great.  Tools and materials will be provided by SCBS but you should bring the typical personal supplies such as gloves, hats, and sunscreen.

Please RSVP by email with your name, DOB and if planning to drive into the base you vehicle year, make, model, license plate number and state of registration.  Please let us know which days and meals you are expecting to attend so that we can plan accordingly.  After you RSVP, we will send directioons to the camp site.
